Strathconon, Glen Affric and Eskadale

Strathconon is a pretty, narrow strath (valley) near Marybank through which runs the river Meig.

The much acclaimed Glen Affric is a nearby narrow glen between high peaks, ancient Cladeonian forest, open muirs, lochs and beaches.

The Roman Catholic church of St Mary at Eskadale is the burial ground of Frasers and Chisholms and associated with the notorious Sobieski brothers linked to Jacobitism and the creation of the modern kilt and tartans.
